Parking in Val Thorens
 
Val Thorens is a semi-pedestrian resort. If you arrive with your own vehicle, it is mandatory to reserve a parking space for your stay. With Val Thorens Reservation, you can benefit from a preferential rate that you won't find anywhere else. When selecting your parking spot, the experts at Val Thorens Reservation consider the location of your accommodation and offer you a parking space as close as possible to it.

Here are the different parking options in Val Thorens and their specific characteristics:

  • P0: This covered parking is located at the upper part of the resort, ideal for accommodations in the neighborhoods of Les Balcons, Grande Rue, Slalom, Lombarde, and Plein Sud. It is accessible for vehicles with a maximum height of 2.20 meters.
 
  • P1: The most centrally located covered parking in the resort, ideal for accommodations in the Grande Rue and Quartier Soleil neighborhoods. It is accessible for vehicles with a maximum height of 1.85 meters.
 
  • P2: This covered parking is situated at the lower part of the resort, perfect for accommodations in the Quartier Soleil neighborhood. Shuttles are available to transport you to your accommodation after you've parked your vehicle. It is accessible for vehicles with a maximum height of 2.14 meters.
 
  • P2D: An outdoor parking located at the lower part of the resort, ideal for accommodations in the Quartier Soleil neighborhood. Shuttles are available to transport you to your accommodation after parking your vehicle. It is accessible for vehicles taller than 2.20 meters.
 
  • P3: An outdoor parking situated outside of the resort, approximately 2 kilometers away. This parking is occasionally open and is not covered. Shuttles are available to take you to the resort after parking your vehicle. It is accessible for vehicles taller than 2.20 meters.
 
  • P4: An outdoor parking for both hourly and long-term parking, located 4 kilometers from the center of the resort. Payment is made directly on-site using the designated payment terminals. This parking provides direct access to the ski lift ticket counters and is suitable for all types of vehicles.
 
  • P5: A free outdoor parking for the day, located downstream from P4, also 4 kilometers from the center of the resort. This parking offers direct access to the ski lift ticket counters and is suitable for all types of vehicles.

Electric Vehicles
For electric vehicles, there are 20 parking spaces available in the P0, P1, and P2 parking areas.

These spaces are open for use, but it is strongly recommended to reserve your parking spot.

Upon your arrival or during your stay, you will have access to one of the electric charging stations. It's advisable not to wait until the last day to recharge your vehicle. Once your vehicle is charged, you should return to your parking space.

Valthoparc, in partnership with Freshmile, offers a pricing structure based on the kilowatt-hour (kWh) consumed at a rate of 0.489 €/kWh. Please note that additional charges of 0.05 €/minute will apply if you exceed the charging time.

Points to Keep in Mind

  • Parking with Preferential Rates: You can only purchase a parking space at the preferential rate if you have made an accommodation reservation through the central booking agency.

  • Street Parking Restrictions: Parking on the streets is prohibited from November 15th to May 15th.

  • Winter Restrictions for Campers: During the winter season, campers are prohibited from parking within the entire resort.

  • Parking Reservation Deadline: This reduced-rate parking service allows reservations up to 7 days before your arrival.
